Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

It is not serious condition because it seems there is not cholicystitis (infection due to stone in gall bladder) though there is 17 mm stone in it. Sometimes because of medicines the stone may passout but the chances are least. If she has repeated pain and colic associated or even vomiting too. It needs to be removed.

Cholecystectomy is a day care procedure and is nowadays having minimum invasive procedure and patient can go home next days and start his routine with two weeks of time.

You might decide if pain persists or indigestion or vomiting problem is there.

Hope the answer to your query and visit us back in case you have more questions to be answered. Also provide your valufeedback too.
