What Does This Pelvic X-ray Report Indicate?

What are the following Conditions in layman s terms and what does it mean when found together? Subchondral lucencies with peripheral sclerosis is demonstrated about the pubic bodies, greatest on the left. Left acetabular protrusio redemonstrated. Scoliatic curvature of the lumbar spine. These were found in xrays after hip pain complaint.

Hello,

The presence of subchondral lucencies with peripheral sclerosis suggest erosion of subchondral bone part with secondary bone deposit at periphery of the bone to compensate the bone loss through body homeostasis mechanics. It is the usual malignancy condition involving bone cartilage or cortex and pausing such issues via calcium, phosphate, parathyroid disturbances. Serum level of alkaline phosphatase with LDH, bone marrow biopsy are need of time to get into the matter precisely.
