What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result For Irregular Menstruation Indicate?
Have been having issues with my menstrual period and the pelvic scan shows. Uterus: normal size, anteverted. Empty cavity with thick endometrial lining. No gestational sac seen. No fibroids. Urinary bladder: uniformly filled, normal outline. No stones, no mass. Adnexae/POD: free, no mass. No fluid collection. Ovaries: normal size on both sides. No cysts.
After going through your question, my opinion is that:
1) Uterus is completely normal, but the inner layer of uterus is thick indicating a hormonal imbalance which is causing period problems.
2) There is no pregnancy or tumors.
3) Ovaries are normal.
4) No problem in the pelvis.
So, in short, its a normal report.
I hope I was able to solve your query.
Regards,
Dr. Shikha
