What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?

Hi doctor I my report ,I got Grade 1 fatty changes in liver Uterus appears mildly bulky for age with thickened endometrium Small left ovarian cyst ... Left ovary is enlarged .,measures 5.3x3.8cm and shows a cystic lesion measuring 4.6 x 3.2 cm with thin intracystic separation No evidence of intracystic solid components What does this mean? Is it serious? Do I need to undergo biopsy?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Grade 1 fatty change in liver is a reversible condition.
Grade 1 fatty change is caused due to alcohol. diabetes mellitus, malabsorption, starvation etc.
Discontinuation of above mentioned conditions or diabetes control is likely to improve the fatty change.
A bulky uterus with thickened endometrium needs to be investigated.
An endometrial biopsy s required to assess the status of endometrial glands and stroma to rule out hyperplasia or malignancy.
An enlarged ovary with a cystic lesion needs to be monitored.
If the ovarian cyst turns out to be symptomatic causing abdominal discomfort, pain or menstrual irregularities, it may have to be removed.
Any malignant change in the cyst needs to be ruled out hower, changes of malignancy are low since no solid part is detected on ultrasound of ovary.

Thanks and take care
