What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?

Hi... I m 42 years old. Last 4 months ago I had a bleeding for 13 days and my GYN did the biopsy,pap smear and the result are normal.last month she sent me to do the USG on the 11 day on my cycle and they found out the thickening lining 8 mm.Is it something serious.She suggest me to do D&C. Is it a pre cancerous warning. Please help me to understand this matter.

Hello,

The thickness of the uterus is slightly on the borderline. Excessive bleeding at this age needs to be evaluated. D&C will help to identify any premalignant lesion.
