What Does This Report Of MRI For Cervical Spine Indicate?

My MRI Cervical spine report s impression says Cervical lordosis is straightened. Spondylotic changes seen with disco-osteophytic bulge at C5-6 level, indenting ventral subarchanoid space with altered signal & marrow edema at C5 & C6 vertebral body with adjacent surrounding soft tissue infiltrates in pre & para vertebral region. Finding suggested possibility of spondylotic with superadded inflamatory/infected etiology. Age = 48 years, height = 147 cm. Previous medical history = Neck pain, pain in arms and joints, diagnosed with acute cholecystitis last year. Please advise what exactly is the problem and how serious it is?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for seeking help on your issue; I have gone through your symptoms, and in my opinion, lordosis straightening is due to muscle spam, spondylotic changes are due to degenerationwith age, disc bulge can be a cause of concern if you have radiating pain in the arm or neck, but the most serious part is the last one, edema, this is sign of infection and tuberculosis is common in indian subcontinent.
take your symptoms seriously and consult a spine surgeon , may be at your stage he may diagnose and keep you on drugs and surgery can be averted, it you delay than things may change.
I hope I have been able to provide you with a satisfactory solution, if you want to clear any doubts about my opinion, feel free to contact.
Special note- Any medication prescribed needs to be taken after consultation with your personal doctor only.
Thanks
Dr. Narender Saini
