What Does This Scan Report Mean?

hi today i had went for my first ultrasound after i came to know that i m pregnant but the report says that there is only small sac present but no fetal pole or yolk sac seen. and there is 7mm intramural fibroid seen in posterior wall of uterus. is this normal?

Thanks for writing to HCM

Your report suggests presence of small G-sac but fetal pole or yolk sac is not visualized,so you need follow up scan after 10 days.
It is important to know maturity of G-sac.Non visualization of fetal part may be due to early pregnancy.

You also have small fibroid in posterior wall of uterus.Generally small fibroid doesn't cause any problem in continuing pregnancy and normal pregnancy is possible with fibroid uterus.Fibroid is small in size and it doesn't need any treatment during pregnancy.
