What Does This Sonography Test Result Of Breast Indicate?

Hi I am 42 year old lady .i have a son and my pregnancy was on my 26. i dont have any family member with breast cancer. my first mamogram which i did on my 38 was normal. i did my second mamo last year on my 41 that was normal. i do sonography every 6 month . this is my result of breast sonography 2 days ago that I did at a hospital : 9: 00 (N+6) hypoechoic finding with slightly ill-defined margins with some microangulation .the hypoechoic componant measures 6*8*3 mm, with an indeterminate appearance and some surrounding echogenicity, measuring 10*13*4 mm , as would be seen with a lipofibroadenoma or hamartoma. no solid or suspicious lesions seen in breast left .birads 4 .... ultrosound guided core biopsy will be arrange for further assesment . I did another ultrasound as a second opinion. that was Birad 3 and just recommend mamogram and 6 month ultrosound. my doctor told me dont wory they just want to be 100 percent sure so that is why they recommended a biopcy. im really have bad anxiety and cant sleep at nights. i really scare. I heared biopsy is very painful. s

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM,
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
Very likely it is not a serious breast lump but I agree that to be in the safe side it is recommended to have a ultrasound guided biopsy.
There are medications that your doctor can prescribe to help with pain and anxiety during and after procedure.
So I would recommend you to speak with your doctor and have pain control medications and would recommend you have the needle biopsy as a safe and helpful test.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question.
I find this answer helpful
