What Does This Stool Test Result For Frequent Diarrhea Indicate?

MY son aged 30 had a vacation tout.On return he had fever,stomach ache and loose motion.He is under treatement and has under gone pathological tests.Results stool Microspoic exam: No Ova cyst found,WBC Pus cells +++ Routine Blood Total WBC count 13,400cumm.Hb 11.4 gm/dl widal Negative for S.Typh and para Typhoid. He has been medical attention and has been taking Medicines as prescribe by doctor. It is 8th Day,still he has loose motion (Watery) after every meal. Pl.advise.

Hi,

Noted the history about your 30 year old son developing diarrhea after a tour, stool tests showing pus cells means infection, Raised white blood cells indicating the same.
Since you have not mentioned which medicines your Doctor has prescribed it is difficult to tell further.
He needs antibiotic and Metronidazole active against intestinal infection.
Also give probiotics, multivitamins and mineral.
Maintain hydration and electrolyte balance.
Antispasmodic may help to control diarrhea after food as food instigate intestinal movement.
Further tests may be needed if he does not get cured within a few days of proper management.
