What Does Ultrasound Scan Finding Of A White Spot On My Fetus's Liver Indicate?
hi, during the ultrasound of my unborn baby today, the tech found a white spot on my fetus liver. he is thinking about cancer, but he is not sure. i tried to find some info through webs, but unfortunately, i did not find. do you have any info on this spot? why? what is the solution? does it effect my baby? Thanks,
white spot in the fetal liver usually is due to calcium deposition following various TORCH Infections such as cytomegalovirus, toxoplasma, rubella etc.further management depends on the clinical picture of baby born.such babies usually present as small for date, hepatitis, pneumonitis, eye manifestation, microcephaly etc.
thanks for consultation.I have few questions for you: 1 what is gestation now? 2. who have done antenatal ultrasound for you. it is not worrying ,you need repeat ultrasound by the fetal medicine physician and the needs diagnosis.usally there is benign liver condition and no cancer at this age.
