What Does Yellow String In Stool Of A Child Indicate?

My daughter is 3. She doesnt really like to eat anything. She bruises easy, her toe nails are thin and dont grown. All she ever wants is something to drink. She is very underweight and small for her age. I believe she is 26 lbs. Today I noticed yellow string like things in her stool. Nothing moving and didnt look like worms. Her doctor wont be back in until monday and I was curious If I should just take her to see the other doctor in her office?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi... By what you quote it seems like a worm infection only. Since, your child is underweight and nails are thin also points towards worm infection. I suggest you to give Syrup albendazole 10 ml at night before sleep. Giving albendazole will not do any harm and nowadays in healthy children also albendazole every 6 months is recommended.
