What Dosage Of CHANTIX Is Safe For A 50 Yr Old Woman?
I am a dentist and my patient a health 50 yr old white female would like to prescribe Chantix , I have urged her for years to stop smoking to help her mouth condition, what would be the presescibing dosage for her I can call in to her pharmacy? Beth

More of a question is how much she smokes. Because it throws people into total nicotine withdrawal, it is not surpirsing that the amout of side effects depends on how much they are smoking. If someone is on 2 packs a day I generally would not start chantix. Alternatively, if someone is not a heavy smoker the usual starting dose recommended is 0.5 mg once a day
