What Dosage Of Remeron Can Be Taken For Appetite Stimulation?

My mother was prescribed Remeron to help stimulate her appetite. What s the lowest dosage of remeron that would do that? She is ultra sensitive to most drugs. Sorry, didn t realize I was going to be hit with a charge for this. Didn t notice anything about charges when I wrote my question. :(

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The recommended dose of Remeron as an appetite stimulate is quite low. It is usually started at around 7.5 milligrams at bedtime. At this dose, most patients tolerate the drug better with little to no side effects that may disturb daily life and show considerable improvement in appetite.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef,
