What Dosage Of Lactulose Oral Solution Is Recommended For Palliative Hospice Care Patient?

My grama just got hoe and hospice came today to help me take care of her until she passes, she was prescribed Lactulose Oral Solution to help clean out her bowels and they had said the bottle would say a different amount to give her nightly to start, with all the information they were telling me I forgot the dose they told me, she is 60lbs and can't eat or drink or move or talk anymore, Just on complete comfort care now until she passes, what dose do you recommend for palliative hospice patient care?

Hi,

Usually, the dose of lactulose oral solution is 1 tablespoon, thrice a day. You can start giving her 1 tablespoon at night slowly.

Give her plenty water as much as she can drink it.
