Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just received two prescriptions through express scripts in the mail. One is for an itchy, dry patch on my eye, and the other is for a sore in my nose. I am unable to tell which prescription is which. One is Desonide Ointment, .05%, and the other is Mupirocin, 2%.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. desonide is a corticosteroid cream. most likely this is for dry patch. mupirocin is a topical antibiotic. this is most likely for sore in nose. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
