What Is Myrbetriq Advised?

WHY IS MY FRIENDS DOCTOR TELLING A FRIEND OF MINE TO TAKE MYRBETRIQ IN THE MORNING? MY FRIEND GETS VERY TIRED DURING THE DAY, AND I SUGGESTED TAKING IT AT BEDTIME. I DID TELL HER TOFOLLOW HER DOCTOR’S DIRECTION BUT IS THERE A REASON HER DOCTOR IS TELLING HER TO TAKE IT IN THE MORNING. I AM A PHARMACIST.

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

MYRBETRIQ is a medicine that is given for Overactive Bladder. In overactive bladder there will be increased frequency of urination along with urgency to pass the urine . These symptoms are more pronounced when the patient is awake ( during the day ) and hence it has been particularly advised to take it in the morning only .

Feeling tired is a know side effect of this drug but it shall wear off with continued use of the medicine. So let him continue taking it in the morning only .

I also advise him to get his Hemoglobin tested as low Hemoglobin can contribute to tired feeling .

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
