What Is A Polycystic Ovary?

hi, few days back i got my ultra sound done and in report doc says i got polistic ovary and rest is normal, we are trying fr baby for 3 years and had a 1 mis carriage, what is a polistic ovary.

Hello.Welcome.Polycystic ovary diseae (PCOD) is a very common problem these days.This condition is characterized by multiple cysts in the ovaries causing infertility and associated with weight gain,hypothyroidism,hyperinsulinemia,hirsuitism etc.you and your Gynec will have to work hard to get the pregnancy.Good luck.
