What Is A Sore Spot Above My Ankle Bone?

I have a sore spot just a few inches above my ankle bone (on the outside of my calf). There s a bit of a lump there, maybe 3/4 in in diameter, and it s tender to touch, but there is no change in skin colour (no bruising, redness, etc). What would this be? Is there anything I can do to remedy it?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
Probably you are suffering from lipoma.
Your description matches with it.
It is a benign collection of fat.
Dont worry it is not a serious thing.
Usually it is painless but sometimes can be painful.
The only possible treatment is surgical removal,
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
