What Is Causing High Fever And Vomiting?

Hello, I wander if you can help. Two days ago I got a sudden attack of nausea (8pm) and was unable to finish my dinner. Went to bed but had to get up soon after to vomit. I developed a high fever (38.5) and woke up a few more times to vomit. Yesterday I felt nauseaous all day and vomited once. I felt extremely tired and weak, and dosed much of the day. Temperature was about 37.5 all day. Today I don t feel any nausea but still feel extreme muscle weakness and diffuculty doing any physical tasks. Are these symptoms of a gastric attack / food poisoning? Should I be worried about muscle weakness? I m 30 yrs old, male, and generally in very good physical shape. I usually do ~ 1.5h of vigorous exercise every day but now wouldn t be able to walk up a flight of steps. Any help will be much appreciated.

I really appreciate your concern, I had gone through the history given here and I could say that it could be viral infection and it may not be due to food poisoning, or acid peptic disease of course hyperacidity could be associated with this, here fever needs to be taken care else it is the self limiting condition, may not need any specific treatment except symptomatic treatment like vomiting and fever, these can be managed with Acetaminophen with Domperidone, else nothin to worry, for the acid problem PPI can be tried hope this information helps.
