What Is Causing My Black Eye?

I was opening my kitchen window last Sunday and the top of the window came unlached and it came down on my forehead really hard. It caused my head to get a huge goose egg on it, plus it put a dent in my forehead. Now my right eye which was never hit looks like a black eye. What could be causing my black eye.

Hello .!
Black eye or Medically as we call it Periorbital hematoma is usually due to an injury to the face rather than the Eye. It is usually caused by blunt force injury in the forehead or around the eye socket as a result of damage to the small blood vessels (capillaries) which eventually leads to bleeding.Lack of muscle around the eye and the loose fat space leads to collection of blood in this area easily.Blood will be eventually reabsorbed hence the bruising will reduce by itself.Ice packs will reduce swelling and increase reabsorbption of blood. Urgent medical care is required when the eye was directly involved
And in cases where symptoms such as Double vision , Inablity to move the eye , persistent headache appear.

Thanks..!
