What Is Causing Repeated Chest And Ear Infections Of My 3 Years Old?

My daughter is 3yrs 2mths, for the last 18 mths she has suffered repeated chest infections, since Christmas she has only been well for two weeks, suffering from the above and tonisilitis, and ear infections. She is on her 6th course of anti-biotics, has been refered for bloods but is never well enough to get a conclusive result. She does have the blue inhayley but only when her temp rises does she need it, if we get temp down she doesn t need it. She is quite far behind with her speech development and does have some issues with balance. Of recent I am starting to think she may have glue ear, as since this thought we have noticed she regular asks us to repeat things but not just because she is being selective with her earing! She has always been difficult to manage, temper tantrums, problems sleeping as shed wake but be upset with everyone that something had woken her, we just put this down to her maybe being bad tempered (a bit like myself!). I m considering taking her to a specialist ENT appointment private if need be, would you agree or do you think I am way off track?

thanks for your question. repeated chest infections and ear infection along wigh intermittant need of blue inhaler points towards possible allegic origin. also difficult speech development and balance problems suggest some ear affection possibly conductive like glue ear or chronic ear infection. but also mandates inner ear examinations.
constantly being unwell can be one if the reasons for temper tantrums..so in short she definately needs ENT opinion....
