What Is Causing The Itching In My Penis And Her Vagina?

hi my wife has started going through the menopose, every time we have sex my penis gets itchy,my wife also can be itchy, we both use thrush cream and it goes away in a day o so until the next time we have sex which can be a month o two inbetween. what could be the cause? please help.

Thanks for writing in.

Thrush is a chronic infection and there are people who get infected even after one cycle of treatment. If you have got thrush more than 4 times a year then you need a more chronic course of treatment with antifungals. Both you and your wife need to be treated simultaneously. If one of you get treated and the other still has disease, soon both of you will have the condition. Also please avoid sex for the duration of treatment. Keeping you genital areas clean and wearing cotton innerwear is essential to stop sweat formation which again leads to yeast infections.
