What Is Difference Between Vasta And Atorvas Medicine?

Hello,my father had heart attack 1 year ago and angioplasty with stent done, i want to know one thing may he take VASTA 20 tablets twice a day against cancelling atorvas 40 once in a day, what is the difference between thest two,there is atorvas 40 in our medical prescription.

Hello,

Vasta and Atorvas are different brand names of the same medicine Atorvastatin. Usually Atorvastatin is taken as a single dose, but if your father wants to split the dose into two tablets of 20 mg each, it can be allowed without significant change in efficacy.
