What Is Expected Out Of A Child Born With Heart In Right And Smaller Right Lung?
My son is 6 days old and he has been in the NICU since his birth. He was born at 39 weeks. He was born with his heart on the right side and his right lung is smaller than his left. The doctors have done 6 xrays and have seen no improvement. What's your perspective on this?

It appears that the baby is having situs inversus.
That is because of failure of rotation during development the right sided viscra and intestines lie on the left side and vice versa.
This is a developmental defect and usually needs no treatment.
