Hi combined modulity treatment means that initially you are treated with tamoxifen (20 mg/day) for 3–6 months. This was followed by surgery and radiotherapy when feasible and then tamoxifen for 5 years or until disease recurrence.
tamoxifen is more effective in the treatment of elderly or frail patients with locally advanced breast carcinoma with estrogen receptor positive tumors, and resulted in a reasonable response rate, including complete responses and good overall survival while for young patient initial treatment include ocal therapies (such as surgery and/or radiotherapy.
