What Is Meaning Of Bulky Uterus With Large Vascular Fibroid?
Hi Doctor, I am 41 years old and weigh 45 Kg. In a scan the doctors have told me that I have a Bulky uterus with large posterior wall vascular fibroid 91 X 65 X 64 mm and fibroid of 58 X 53 X 63 mm. They have recommended surgery. Can i have an understanding of the problem and what surgical course has to be taken and what about recurrence or should the uterus be removed now ??

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The ultrasound reveals presence of fibroids in the uterus.
The fibroids are quite large- 9 cm and 5 cm in size.
Fibroids are large enough to cause symptoms of hemorrhagic, abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities etc.
If you have completed your family surgical removal of the uterus will remove the fibroids and relieve the symptoms of menstrual irregularities and abdominal discomfort.
