What Is Persistent Pain And Spasms In Abdomen Suggestive Of?
I had sudden onset of lower, very low, abdominal pain, spasms about 4 hours ago. Doesn t respond to OTC pain meds or Tums, or heat pack. Not menstrual as I ve had complete hysterectomy 3 years ago. No other six like nausea, fever, etc, just this persistent pain. What could it be and what can I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent pain and spasms in abdomen. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like constipation , diarrhea , gastroenteritis , acid reflux , vomiting , kidney infection , stress or IBS . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , CT scan , stool test and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , ornidazole , laxative along with analgesic . Doctor may also refer you to urologist for UTI . For now take light and non spicy food , take antiacid after every meal , take small and frequent meals and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
