What Is Recurring Dull Pain In Lower Abdomen Suggestive Of?

I get a constant dull pain I my lower abdomen on the left side. It comes and goes. Some times I don t feel anything for a few days and then others I have the pain all day. It is made worse by moving around. It eases up if I lay down and limit my movement. I have had this pain on and off for a few months but have had my regular doctor check ups and they haven t found anything wrong. Trying to determine what this can be.

Hello,

Pain abdomen can be due to different reasons and to find out what exactly causing it, I would suggest you get an ultrasound Lower abdomen to get done.

Take the results and see your doctor. If there is an underlying pathology causing this pain, your doctor will be able to guide you with appropriate medicines and treatment option on this.

The reasons for lower abdomen pain in male and female patients vary. You have not mentioned your gender, age and any other symptoms if you are experiencing.

So the best thing I can suggest to you, for now, is to get a USG lower abdomen done.

If it doesn’t reveal any cause then there might be need of further different diagnostic tests like a CAT scan and your doctor will advise you better on this as he knows your history well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
