What Is Septoplasty And Will It Cure DNS ?
Male 18, Hello Doctor i m suffering sick from 2 years and i was diagnosed with DNS (deviated Nasal Septum ) my Symptoms is i feel constriction in all brain , feeling lack of control on body, feeling loss of thinking (Foggy brain) feeling too much dizziness when walking and sometimes feeling panic, Doctor i also had take medicine of homepathy 1 year but nothing i dont get relief and Doctor i m now going for Septoplasty for this Friday or Monday Doctor plz tell me that this all symptoms will cure after sepoplasty? and one think more Doctor i m too much afraid of septoplasty because Doctor tells me that we will faint you and then we will do septoplasty Doctor i m soo much nervous and i m soo much in panic that they will faint me and when i wake up?, Doctor i m soo afraid that i think from 3 days continously how i feel during fainting and if they faint me that any some danger occur and i will die becouse i feeling my heart beat very fast when i think of septoplasty doctor what should i do plzz tell me, Plzzz Doctor answer my all questions in detail thnx in advance, Thank You

Septoplasty is a corrective surgical procedure done to straighten the nasal septum, the partition between the two nasal cavities. The procedure usually involves a judicious excision/realignment of a portion of the bone and/or cartilage in the nasal cavity. Under general or local anesthesia.
Symptoms due to DNS, can be corrected by surgery . Anxiety is very common for anyone who will be planned for surgery.
As you have informed that they will perform surgery under GA, you will be unconscious during the procedure. You will wake up once the GA is stopped.
You can consult the operating doctor for anxiolytic drug.

Hi there. Septoplasty will straighten out the cartilage that divides your nostrils into left and right. This should allow your sinuses, on the side of your face your septum is bent towards, to drain more freely and get rid of a lot of the stuffiness you describe. Also, if there is a nasal polyp, that often develops with DNS, this too can be dealt with giving you further relief.
I think you misunderstood the doctor about "fainting you". You will be given a light general anaesthetic during which you will feel absolutely nothing nor remember anything afterwards -- as if you have fainted.
This operation may not cure you of all all that ails you But it will fix a lot of it. You have nothing to worry about. I hope you enjoy better health soon..
