What Is The Best Therapy For Pain In The Swollen Toe?

my husbands big toe has been swollen and extremely painful for a few weeks. he was seen several doctors and tests have ruled out gout. he has been on a few kinds of antibiotics as well as some of the doctors said it was an infection/cellulitius. nothing has worked as yet. swelling is down but not gone and foot is painful.

Hi,

If it is cellulitis then it takes 6-8 weeks to recover in immunocompromised patients. Use limb elevation and use antibiotics appropriately.

If symptoms not improved please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
