What Is The Bruise With Lightly Swollen Lips?

My daughter's lower lip has an unexplainable bruise that just seemed to appear. There was minor swelling that disappeared within 24hrs. It looks as if she was hit. There is a bruise is two places one is larger than the other, however it does seem to be healing.

Hello!Thank you for posting here.

This can be a minor salivary gland injury.Mostly, mucocele of the lip.If this reappears, then you must see the dentist. Removal of the mucocele must be done if it re-appears.Do not panic.
Best thing is to gargle with a strong solution of salt water.
Take care to gently brush and eat not to hurt the area while chewing.

Regards.
