What Is The Bump On My Daughter's Head?

My daughter hit her head last night. There's a bump about the size of a nickel which is throbbing to the touch. She reported feeling groggy and a bit dizzy and had difficulty concentrating in school today. Shall I treat it as if its a concussion or get it looked at?
