What Is The Cause And Treatment For Insomnia?

sir my grandmother has a sleeping problem that,she wokes at 2:00 in the midnight and wont go to sleep after she got awaken and suddenly she gets tensed by getting high pulse rate.she consulted a doctor and they recorded the pulse rate all the day by some instrument that is kept near heart but reports are negative telling that everything is normal..please help me about the diagnosis for this sir....thanking you, yours sincerely, I.Arhith.

Hello,her problem may be age related ,let her cut down on her sleep during the day so she has uninterrupted sleep during the night ,also check her sugar and BP ,find out about her worry and concern which may be disturbing her ,proper meals at night with a glass of warm milk at bed time may help,mild exercises will help ,consult a psychiatric who will evaluate her and advice
