What Is The Cause And Treatment For Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Hi, I have symptoms of IBS; ascending colon cramps after eating, constipation and diarrhea, restless after eating sometimes, heaviness in abdomen. I also get tingling/ paresthesia in mainly my right leg ( quad, knees, on tibia, top of foot) also; lower back and abdominal paresthesia. I find the paresthia comes on when my abdomen all symptoms worsen, and also triggered my alcohol ( I very occasionally drink). These symptoms started 2 years ago, when I was studying intensely for an exam. I hope you can help thankyou!

Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Your gastro intestinal symptoms can be of Irritable bowel syndrome, but obviously need further investigations with blood routine and ESR, coeliac disease serology, ultrasound scan of abdomen and a colonoscopy. The lower limb pain with back pain can be of a spine pathology and needs a orthopedic consultation and may need an MRI Scan of spine.
Please do reply with the results, that we can proceed to the treatment options.
Thank you.
