What Is The Cause For A Small Bruise On My Lower Eyelid?

noticed what looks like a small bruise on my lower eyelid. Approx 8mm by 4mm. Dark purplish color. Uniform edges. Oval in shape. Was wondering if this is a bruise and not some sort of other skin lesion. As mentioned I noticed only this morning. It is not painful, or itchy. Not raised or swollen. Can't remember any real impact to the area, but I do wear contact lenses, maybe hurt applied too much pressure when removing lense? Appreciate your service

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having small bruise affecting the lower eyelid.
This is usually because of collection of the blood in the layers of the skin of eyelid. The condition is usually not painful and this will be seen following minor injuries to the eye lid or to the surrounding area.
The treatment is by cold compression to the affected area. The condition is self limiting and it will resolve over 1-2 weeks.

Thank you
