What Is The Cause For Heal Pain Noticed While Walking?

I have mild discomfort in my left heal and Achilles area. This occurred when I was walking barefoot on a tile floor. I felt a crunching sensation and then a brief sharp pain. I've had mild and occasional moderate pain since then. This discomfort occurs when walking and sitting. Its not debilitating but always there.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
The pain can occur either due to plantar fascitis (inflamation of a tendon) OR some calcaneal spur. Both require local rest in the form of wearing appropriate soft chappal/shoe with soft sole & sometimes local steroid if pain is not relieved by simple remedies. For pain relief & to reduce inflammation, you can take OTC painkiller (like ibuprofen/diclofenac). If pain persists beyond 48 hours after starting pain killer, kindly consult orthopedician.
Wish you good health.
