Hi, My name is Peter, and im kinda desperate right now to get some ideas about my daughters condition. As you can see. I m asking for medical opinions online, how weird is that? But a desperate father will do everything for his daughter right? A week ago she was diagnosed with Dengue Fever and was admitted to the hospital. Ofcourse, with denge fever decrease is blood platelet count is really expected. the normal is 150 - 400 x 109 per liter if I got that right, but the first day she was admitted it was around 157. so It wasn t really that alarming. But each day, it went down from 157 - 127 - then 80. which is low. but on the 4th day she started getting improvements on platelent count from 80 to 87. and finally on the 5th day it went up to 127 so it is expected to improve the following days so we were sent home, and she seems fine. But after 2 days after we got out of the hospital, she had a fever again and experienced vomitting. We want back to the hospital again after just being home for 2 days. They took a CBC to find out whats wrong, my daughters Platelent count fromo 127 three days ago is now 570+ which is way above normal. She was diagnosed of having Kawasaki Disease, but the doctors never encountered such case like my daughters. That from a low blood platelet count and a diagnosis of Dengue fever, then just in a matter of days suddenly went up sky rocketing way above the normal limit. Has anyone encountered a case like my daughters? Because upto know the doctors aren t sure of what it is, but they are sticking to kawasaki disease because I think thats the only explanation they can come upto. That is why im asking for another opinion about this and maybe it will be more sensible and has concrete basis or experience. Please understand that I m not holding our doctors incompetent, they are professionals and from on of the Top 3 institutions in our country, but I just want to save my daughter from going through testings, because so far they told me that all the tests( echocardiogram ,xray, etc) were all normal except for the CBC ofcourse, but they are telling me that doesn t mean she has no kawasaki disease. But that doesn t also mean that she has it right?. Please help. im a father, to all who can read this who has a child, you know how I feel, because I would know how you feel. Help me.
