What Is The Cause For Pain In Left Wrist While Bending?

the back of my left wrist hurts when I bend it back or forward. Side to side, like waving, produces no pain. Pain came on suddenly. No injury. At the back of the wrist in line with the ring and pointer finger, there is slight pain when pushing down on this spot. No swelling or bumps.

Hello and welcome.

You have failed to mention your age, this would be relevant as osteophytes and bone spurs are common with age; conditions like arthritis, gout, etc need to be ruled out. I would recommend an x ray if the affected region and a few blood investigations like RA factor, serum uric acid, etc.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
