What Is The Cause For Red Skin Burns When I Touch After Being Treated For Pneumonia?

Hi. My name is Dawn. I have many things going on right now. My question is why does my skin hurt to touch it and burns all over? If I touch it or anything it turns red and burns worse in that area and stays that way. Even internal tissue like mouth eyes vagina feels like its burning. Recently I wad hospitalized for pneumonia. I just had PFT done and CT of chest because there was possible spot on lung. I am also going through withdrawal from stopping benzodiazapines on my own. Its been four days since I ve taken any. Recent weight loss of 27 pounds in three weeks. This really burns. Everywhere. Does any of this skin condition come from any of this? I m very concerned. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
This may be due to withdrawal effect from benzodiazepines. The withdrawal from benzodiazepines shoud be done with doctor's advice. The other possibilities may be due to infection or allergic reactions.

For diagnosing your problem you need general physical examination and few investigations like AEC, LFT, RFT and complete haemogram. This will help in diagnosing your problem. For now yiou can have plenty of fluids, an antihistamine drug to relieve if any allergic response and consult your doctor for further management.
