What Is The Cause For Severe Pain Below Her Left Rib With A History Of Reflux?

My daughter has a history of reflux, symptoms on Monday started with a headache and nausea, Tuesday she felt better and Tuesday night severe pain righty below her left rib that when severe radiates to back, Across stomach and up chest. Urgent care did X-ray and urine test and they were fine, ibuphrophen took the edge off only to suffer continued pain and waking me up at 4 am with the same pains, now this afternoon she is having boughts of the pain and now is running a lowgrade fever and a severe headache. She has a hydra scan coming up for her gallbladder but any ideas on what it could be? The pain is a squeezing pain, sometimes dull and sharp but mainly a squeezing pain and she said that she notices that when she lifts her arms above her head while laying down she senses a little relief.

it looks like that your daughter is having gastritis.I would recommend you to not give her brufen any more as it may further increase her pain. I would suggest her to take omeprazol or pantaprazol. This will take care of her acidity. Also it would be better if you can get endoscopy if sympotoms persisit or worsened.
