What Is The Cause For The Pain In Left Side Of The Rib Cage And The Abdomen Being Bloated Mostly During Nights?

I have an aching pain in my left side just around the bottom of my rib cage. It seems to go up under my rib cage also. almost like there is a ball of something there getting pinched. It seems aggravated by the sitting position. also My abdominal are is bloated and seems bloated more at night. I can change positions sometimes and it seems to relieve the pressure. If I m sitting for long periods it gets worse, such as sitting in a car.

Hi,I feel your symptoms are due to Acid Peptic Disease. You can take proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole, Pantaprazole or Lansaprazole empty stomach in the morning. Avoid fried and spicy food , excessive caffiene and drink plenty of water . Sleep with your head propped up.In case symptoms persist get your ECG and ultrasound abdomen . Hope it helps.
