What Is The Cause For The Pain In The Lower Back?

my boyfriend started experiencing pain in his lower back earlier tonight. It has now progressed to where his right side is also hurting. He tried driving to work but the pain got so bad that I had to go pick him up at a gas station. He has also been shaking from time to time when the pain starts to go down. I was worried it could be his appendix.

does he has nausea/vomiting,is pain radiating from back to front?is this the first time?if answers to all question is YES along with your description what it seems to be a pain of urinary tract system with possibility of ureteric stone.
so you can give him ta.drotin 40 mg for pain.
xray KUB along with ultra sound scan of abdomen is the investigation of choice.
