What Is The Cause Of A Muscle Cramp In Legs?

I have recurring "charlie horse" in my calf muscles. Not one side more than the other, but very painful. Sometimes a couple in a night and then none for a couple of days. It's been a couple of weeks. Am I lacking something such as Vitamin D or mineral?

cramps in muscles can be due to following reasons.
1. Vitamin B 12 deficiency
2. Calcium and vitamin D deficiency
3. Low sodium in body
4. Excessive cold temperature
So you have to get proper blood investigations to confirm what is cause of this illness and then treat it accordingly.
