What Is The Cause Of Bed Wetting?

Hi. My 3 year old daughter has been potty trained since the age of 1 1/2. For the past several months she has been urinating on herself and wetting the bed at night. Her urine has a very strong odor. At her 3 year well visit she was tested for a UTI and it came back negative. Should I be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

Bed wetting is normal in this age group. We do not treat or consider treatment before the age of 5 years. Do not scold the child. This will deteriorate the scenario further.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
