What Is The Cause Of Burping In An Asthmatic Patient?

my mom is having asthma for last a guess more than 10 yrs nd she use to burp alot when she is dyspnic and in dyspnic state massaging her back induce burping and she feels relieved...are these burps good for her and what is the reason behind this burping?????
