Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
The cause of hangmans fracture is injury by an unyielding object over the face or just under the chin while neck is extended.
Usually occurs in a motor vehicle accident without seat belt where the head dashes against the steering wheel, dash board or window pane.
It may occur during falls also.
Is called hang mans fracture because such fractures occur during judicial hanging in more than 50% of cases.
