What Is The Cause Of Fever?

My baby boy is 4 months old, had a mild fever of 101, urine culture reported ecoli, now on anitibiotics, abdominal ultra sound does not show any abnormalities. Please let me know if it is a one of infection or should i go for more invasive tests to rule out any other possibilities

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic
According to history given by you he is having fever because of UTI.For that you require antibiotic treatment for 14 days.Before stopping course you need to do urine testing again to ensure that he is fine.Then he should be put on UTI prophylaxis for 2 years.He should be investigated. Like USG kub now.MCU once infection settles down.DMSA scan after 6 monrhs
