What Is The Cause Of Hollowness In The Cheek?
Hello my name is Vanessa,16 from LA, CA. I just looked in the mirror and i noticed my left cheek, not cheekbone, suddenly became very hollow. When i poke it, it kind of stays there like a tempurpedic mattress for a second then goes back to place.. Whats wrong with me? :(

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Hollowness in the cheek is due to loss of buccal pads of fat. It may be part of generalized weight loss (intentional or disease related) If weight loss is not intentional,you have to look for other causes. Smoking habit also causes hollowness of cheek.Sunken cheeks can also be due to chronic liver disease (hepatic facies).
