What Is The Cause Of Increasing Abdominal Fat?

Am thinking I have insulin resistance ... fasting BS of 103 for over 1 year, have a waistline 35, BMI = 32, have increasing abdominal fat, exercise 3-4 times weekly with alternating water aerobics & weigh training, have been on BP meds 18 years controlled by Lisinopril, have elevated LDL but 160, on generic Synthroid at 7.5. Am trying to decide if I need an endocrinologist or someone in integrative medicine. I suffered a traumatic hand injury 3 years ago wherein my BS 600 at ER but did decrease. No 1st person hx of diabetes. My primary MD out due to back surgery & so I have not been seen in 1 yr. Who do I see? An apt with int med in 2 mos.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if you do have abdominal fat, and gives the protuberance like appearance then the possibility of central obesity is likely and such symptoms are more genetically related, continue exercise and low calorie diet controls the diet, this might not be any thing to take with the insulin, but this could be other way round, take care and have nice day.
