What Is The Cause Of Lack Of Speech And Comprehension In A Child?

My son is going to be 4yrs old by the end of APR. He is still not talking in sentence,.he started talking very recently only.He repeats whatever we say to him but not using it. Have checked with local doctors too. Seems to be no problem with him. Kindly advise me to treat him better.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
I would like to know how is his understanding of language. Does he follow simple commands? How is his non verbal communication? does he indicate his needs by gesture? How is his social interaction?
He is not able to say sentences and he repeats the language.(echolalia). He definitely needs speech therapy.
If such a child comes to my clinic I would like to check him for autism. Kinldy consult a Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrician for proper assessment.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
